ABOUT

Kim Loper works and plays at the intersection of art, design, education and economic development. She has taught and managed arts programs in collaboration with schools, architects, community centers, neighborhood groups and non-profit organizations for over 15 years. While she has a strong background in community organizing and teaching art to youth of all ages, she is particularly interested in utilizing social design strategies to reimagine and create a more equitable world.  Loper is a recent graduate of the MFA in Community Arts program at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and is the current Program Manager of Jubilee Arts' Youth-in-Business (YiB) program through an Open Society Institute Fellowship (2017)In her free time she watches lots of reality television for "research" and dances in her room to old Rihanna music videos.
